We are seeking an experienced Manager, Group Reporting and Finance

Purpose of the Role
Responsible for leading the preparation and consolidation of Group financial statements and statutory reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, maintains effective control over Group holding companies, and provides technical accounting expertise across the business. To play a key role in coordinating audits and configuring finance systems to support consolidated financial reporting processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Group Holding Company Financial Management
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely accounting records for all Group holding companies.
- Take ownership of general ledger entries and reporting across relevant finance systems and consolidation platforms.
- Coordinate with overseas agents to ensure:
- Proper maintenance of financial and statutory records.
- Timely tax return filings and cash flow forecasting.
- Preparation of management information for Boards.
- Maintenance of Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrices.
- Implementation and review of internal controls and compliance.
2. Consolidated Group Reporting
- Prepare and consolidate Group and subsidiary financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Lead the end-to-end coordination and delivery of the Group’s external audit process.
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of distributions from subsidiaries in compliance with applicable laws.
- Develop technical accounting papers on Group transactions including acquisitions, disposals, and other significant events.
- Prepare hedge and swap accounting journals and related disclosures.
- Produce and maintain statutory accounts for intermediate holding companies.
- Support other ad hoc Group-level reporting as required.
3. Monthly Reporting and Controls
- Lead and oversee the Group’s monthly close processes:
- Review and challenge trial balances submitted by subsidiaries.
- Review IFRS conversion from OHADA and other local GAAP as necessary.
- Manage the monthly consolidated balance sheet and resolve intercompany mismatches or consolidation discrepancies.
- Prepare Group-wide tax calculations and submissions.
- Prepare consolidated cash flow statements and statements of changes in equity.
4. Financial Systems and Reporting Tools
- Provide technical leadership in the setup, maintenance, and optimization of finance systems, including consolidation and reporting tools.
- Support enhancements and configuration of ERP and consolidation systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
5. Group Accounting Support and Capacity Building
- Provide IFRS and technical accounting support to finance teams across the Group.
- Deliver training and guidance on IFRS compliance, group policies, and financial reporting processes.
- Act as an internal consultant on financial management and reporting best practices.

- Familiarity with integrated ERP systems and financial consolidation software.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience in group accounting, consolidation, or financial reporting roles.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and statutory accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with financial consolidation systems (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos Controller, SAP BPC, etc.).
- Previous experience in a multinational or geographically distributed organisation highly desirable.
- Experience with OHADA or other regional accounting frameworks and their IFRS conversion preferred.
- Experience working with external auditors and managing the audit process.
