JOB DESCRIPTION: DRAUGHTSMAN

Responsibilities:
- To liaise with the Design Engineers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Suppliers and Professional consultant for timeous drawing, layouts generation.
- To learn within one month of employment time period to be proficient in the use of our 3D CAD program Solid Edge
- To model using the organization's designed CAD preferred design methods
- Produce PFD and P&ID drawings in Solid Edge when required
- Visit customer sites in order to measure plant and equipment
- Hand draw site sketches to be scanned and saved to server
- Advise 3D scan personnel on required views
- Create 3D models of layouts, assemblies and parts using the organization's preferred methods
- Produce layouts and fabrication/machining drafts using preferred drafting practices
- Meetings with customers and sales team for presenting layouts
- Meetings with suppliers /fabricators to discuss scope details and specifications
- Generating of as-built drawings
- Participating on HAZOP meetings
- Planning own work load in consultation with Project Managers, Engineers to meet drawings schedule
- Liaising with structural engineer and other professionals for input required for drawings
- Making sure drawings are updated for as-built
- Participating on project closeout and document lessons learned related to drawings for future reference
- Provide positive energy in the work place.

- Interpretation of drawing requirements without rework
- Maintenance of drawings and documents
- Ensuring that as-built drawings are generated as part of project closeout
- Adhering to drawings filling method / procedures
- Adhering to drawings numbering method or procedures
- Meeting drawings required timeline
- Making sure drawings / layouts are representing P&IDs and selected equipment.
- Managing of drawings change request to avoid scope creep
