A FREE online learning centre for upskilling in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Quest for Knowledge (Q4K) is a FREE-TO-USE online learning centre and platform for people to upskill themselves in Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint – which is the most popular software for businesses of all sizes across the country and the world.
Quest embarked on the roll-out of Quest for Knowledge as a corporate social investment (CSI) initiative to provide individuals, in South Africa – who may never have been exposed to computers and software technology like Microsoft Office – with an avenue to learn and an opportunity to be assessed and receive a competency certificate at no charge to themselves.
By completing the online tutorials, ambitious but financially or otherwise disadvantaged members of society can take control of their futures and career paths, obtaining knowledge which is crucial in most business areas. Q4K participants may choose to learn without being assessed or learn and move on to the test version of the tutorial after which they will receive a mark and certificate.
In the 2013-2016 period alone, Quest has upskilled Quest for Knowledge users with tutorials valued at R4.2 million.
Close to Quest’s heart is the continued development and upliftment of the people of South Africa. For us to cultivate a future that is meaningful and prosperous, we need more people to both create and fill jobs. To do this requires empowering all communities with the right tools to launch careers and businesses.
For this reason, Quest’s primary corporate social investment has targeted the education and development of our youth, as well as being involved in educational programmes for adults who want to expand their career opportunities and potential.
